The only place I know in CT (I live here) to find NLP practitioners is at the possibly now defunct hypnosis center in West Hartford. They got into a lot of trouble, did not have a licensed/certified hypnotherapist on board, etc., and may be shut down by the time you read this. So far as I know from talking with some of them, they all follow NLP.

I'm not sure why you are looking for an NLP person; you didn't say.

It is not psychotherapy or counseling, and has neither a theory nor a set of practices of its own. If you can't find someone closer (Torrington?) try the several books on the subject, or books by Tony Robbins (who, a carpet salesman, attended an NLP weekend and said to himself, "I can do this and make money at it!" Which he did.)

Keep in mind that actual psychologists/psychiatrists do not think much of NLP at all. Of course hypnotherapy is an old and well- established therapy adjunct.
