You have some really great questions! I thought these are from the same person. let me explain something to you.

NLP or "Neuro Linguistic Programming" is really just a way of taking something that someone can do really well, and learning how they do it, and creating a simple method of teaching it to other people. Its not brainwashing, however NLP can be used to persuade people to do or think something (as i said in the last question of yours i answered). Its not really programming perse, its more, giving you the ability to think in new ways, which is likened to programming a computer to do something new. NLP'ers do use hypnosis, and while they have direct access to your unconscious mind, they can almost programm your mind, by explaining things and giving you clear instructions how to do something differently. Still if it was something that was against your beliefes, then you would snap out of hypnosis and loose all trust for the practitioner.
